Project OverviewThe 40 Street Urban Regeneration Project reimagines one of Al-Hilla's most important urban corridors through a series of interconnected public spaces designed to encourage social interaction, improve pedestrian experience, and strengthen the city's visual identity.The project consists of multiple urban squares, each responding to its immediate context while sharing a unified architectural language, landscape strategy, and material palette.
40th Street Redevelopment Experience
Al-Bidaya Plaza | ساحة البداية
Al-Bidaya Plaza is a public space redevelopment project developed as part of the 40th Street Redevelopment Experience in Hilla, Iraq. Designed by CO ECO COR, the project transforms an urban intersection into an active civic destination through landscape, seating terraces, pedestrian connectivity, and a multifunctional public plaza capable of hosting community and cultural events. The project was officially executed by Hilla Municipality, while CO ECO COR was responsible for the complete architectural design and preparation of all executive and construction drawings.
